Rules for graphics

Working with photos

Since it is a photo editing software, the quality and selection of the right photo is very important. Even though communication changes as needed and we always use different photos to get the right message and emotion, they should all have good composition, lighting and contrasts. Therefore, we choose photos primarily from professional photographers who have these things in mind.

We divide the incorporation of photography into graphics into three cases.

1. 50 %
In this case, we divide the format horizontally or vertically into two halves. One is used for the placement of the photo and the other for text and additional graphics.

2. Full format
We set up the photography over the whole format and then add additional graphics. In the top right corner we have a space for the "green Zoner roll" and in the bottom left corner we add a blue rectangle which serves as a space for the texting or CTA. In the top left corner we add the logo. It is necessary to select and place the photo so that it does not interfere with the legibility of the logo.

3. Photo in the space
If we want to use a small format photo, we anchor it to the "green Zoner corner", which is always in the bottom left corner. The corner of the photo fills in the "missing pixel" and continues until the right edge falls off.

Rules for photos and graphics

  • Consistent colour consistency
colours within our palettes and similar, e.g. no garish pinks, reds, etc.).
  • High resolution, sharp photos.
  • Attention to key elements in the photo (e.g. if showcasing a product, add a neutral background so the product doesn't disappear).
  • Good lighting and contrast between the main point of attention and the background.
  • When presenting to those who buy the program, they should most often be around 40–55 years old, more likely to be male.
  • For pictures for selling photo items, give mainly pictures of children, family, etc.
  • The GUI of the program should be screened at a close scale (so that it is not blurred).
  • Airiness of photos.
  • In the graphic must always be both "paws" from the logo, preferably in modified form (the idea is to have both paws in the graphic where the paws will be at the same time, but they can be modified in shape – one paw square, one classic paw).
  • Photographs cluttered with objects and intricate details.
  • Observe the basic rules of composition.
  • Clichés and photoshopped photos of laughing people.
  • Do not use photos with Apple products.
  • Don't use photos with other brands' logos (you can use the product, but the logo will get in the way).
  • Missing or misplaced focus points.
  • Rewinds (unless it serves the purpose of presenting a rewind rescue).
  • Children under approximately 12 years of age may not be in the graphic when selling a family license.
  • Graphics must not be created by AI.
  • Graphics to be created primarily for a male audience (no fuzzy flowers, pink, etc.).

Palette and mood of the seasons

When choosing appropriate photos for the seasons, we base our selection on what is typical for them. Whether it's weather changes, specific holidays and traditions, specific activities and spending styles for the season, etc. From this we can easily derive a colour palette that is specific to each season.
